NOMINATIONS

The New York State Baseball Hall of Fame operates differently from most other Halls of Fame in its selection process. Inductees are chosen based on their overall “body of work” and service to the game rather than purely on statistical achievements. While statistics are considered, it is the individual’s contributions and the lasting impact they have made on the game that truly matter. Longevity of service at any level is highly valued. We are honored to recognize each inductee for their unwavering dedication and genuine “love of the game.”

ELIGIBILITY

To be considered for induction, nominees must meet at least one of the following:

  1. Born in New York State

  2. Reside in New York State

  3. Played for a New York-based team

Submissions must include complete documentation and references. Family nominations are not accepted. Inductees are selected based on their lifelong "body of work" in baseball, whether as a player, coach, writer, umpire, executive, or ambassador.

Inductees must attend the annual dinner or defer to a future year.

*Inductees may be removed from the Hall of Fame for conduct deemed unbecoming to the game of baseball or the values of the Hall of Fame.
